What do fit people think about overweight people at the gym ?

Hi there - I can tell you personally, I've been on both sides of the spectrum :) I remember feeling a combination of determined and helpless back then...knowing I'd someday be in good shape, but unsure of how to get there....
So here's my answer:
"I wish they knew what I know now."
Seriously, that's what I think when I see overweight or struggling people at the gym...
I wish that I could just lean over, put my hand around their shoulder and say:
"Hey friend, I've been there, and if you'd like my help or advice, I'm here for you.... I want to help you out without being a complete dick and assuming that you're struggling and want my advice. But just know that, since I've been there, and I can totally relate to the feelings of uncertainty, frustration, feeling like you're being scrutinized by all the fit people, and a slew of other emotions that an overweight person can feel while at the gym....
I want to help, if you want my help.
That's it. :) That's actually what led me to create my site and coaching business in the first place. I think if I hadn't struggled through that hard transformation myself, I wouldn't have the motivation, drive, and determination to help others and create a successful business out of it.
I actually teach a FREE course over at SciFit.org where we bust through some of the most common fitness and dieting myths, and determine if they're actually true or not (spoiler alert: most are false). My hope is that it'll give people the free resources they need to take their fitness to the next level - wherever they are on their fitness journey! :) And that's what fitness is: a journey (not a destination!).
Good luck, friend! You can do it!
